Monday 23rd March
Dear Class R parents and carers,
I hope you were all able to have a good weekend, current restrictions aside.
Today is the first day of the children working from home and I am sure there will be a range of feelings from the children, excitement at being at home with their family, confusion as to why things have changed and lots of questions too. It is going to take some time to get into a routine for all of us. I am also aware that many of you have older and younger children at home and need to continue your own work from home too. That is why I have tried to ensure that set activities are kept to a small number, so that it is more manageable. I have added a phonics and number work measuring activity to your child's tray on Mini Mash for them to try today. If you have difficulty with your child's login then please do let me know.
As previously said we have been looking at the story of the Bad Tempered Ladybird in Class R. It would be lovely if your child could create a picture or painting of the Bad tempered ladybird, either using pencils, paints, chalks or mini mash's paint program. If you are then able to photograph and send this to me via email, or Tapestry that would be great.
Where possible if you are able to come up with a timetable that suits the family I feel that would really benefit everyone at home. It will take some time to establish and if I can help in any way please do let me know.
Please note that I am in school today and will be monitoring Tapestry and Purple Mash etc. throughout the day and will be available for support if needed.
