September 2020 - Our new intake
We would like to offer a huge welcome to all the parents and families that will be joining our school in September 2020.
The past few months have of course not gone how any of us would have imagined and this has undoubtedly had an impact on everyone in a huge variety of ways, emotionally, physically, financially and mentally. It is likely that for many of you your child's final term of Pre-School or Nursery has been impacted by a full or partial closure. You will have found out which school your child is going to whilst under lockdown, and there is continued uncertainty as to how things will look moving forward.
At this stage things are changing week by week and for some of your children they may be returning to their settings for the final half term before they start 'big school'. At present we are, like so many schools, uncertain how transition will look for your children and how this will be delivered. Normally we would offer four settling in sessions in late June and early July for your children to come and visit the school and the staff within the Reception classroom. At present it is not possible to offer this, however as things evolve over the coming weeks this may change. We will be looking to provide an online video tour of the classroom, as well as photos and videos of Class R staff, to provide some form of reassurance and introduction for your children.
As you can no doubt imagine things are very unsettled and unusual for all children within the school at present and as a school team we are working extremely hard to support all our children and their families and this includes all of our families that will joining us in September. If you have questions please do contact the school on 01392 874583 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we will endeavour to help. However please rest assured that we are working to ensure that we can provide a supportive and smooth transition for your children and will be contacting all of you with updates in the coming weeks.
