Useful information to Support Work
Monday 8th June - Reminders and Updates
Just thought I'd send a couple of updates and reminders of where to find things, particularly for those still home schooling.
You can find appropriate level reading books at the Oxford owl and Collins websites.
For Oxford Owl - go to the website: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/
click on 'my class login', (if you have mislaid the login details please email school)
click on my bookshelf, select the appropriate age group, choose a book that they would like to read. There is also an audio option and most books have linked comprehension activities.
Collins books - Please follow the instructions in the link below, once you are logged onto the website click the purple 'Collins Big Cat' tab and then choose your child's colour level to view books.
As I said before, unfortunately these books are colour coded to the old reading scheme we have in school and not Read Write Inc so you may find that the colour book your child is on does not match up. Please see below (roughly) the equivalent colours:
old (Collins) scheme RWI
red = red
yellow = green
blue = purple
green = pink
orange = orange
If your child is beyond orange level then just follow the colour order found on the website. I hope that makes sense, any questions please ask.
Purple Mash -
I have been moving the children's completed 2do's to their own work files. If they would like to see any of the work that they have already completed or my comments you can find the work by clicking on the orange 'work' tab at the top of the screen - the arrow by my work - done 2do's.
I hope you're all well and thank you once again for your support and all the hard work the children are doing at home.
