Wednesday 13th May
Dear Class R parents and carers,
Thank you again to all of you who have been providing so many amazing updates on the things you are doing at home with your children. I have really enjoyed seeing all your writing and drawing related to our bodies, as well as your fabulous phonics work too.
Today we are going to continue to look at our bodies. However we are now going to explore the human skeleton. I have attached a powerpoint presentation for you to look at. I have also recorded myself going through this as it is a little long. Once you have watched the video or been through the powerpoint I would like the children to draw a picture of a skeleton. Again this can be life size or a smaller version. I would then like the children to write down some facts about the human skeleton that they have learnt from the powerpoint. The following link also has a short BBC Bitesize video about skeletons. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zmptsbk
Alternatively they may choose to use other sources for their facts e.g. books or other internet sources. As always please be careful of which sites your child is accessing on the internet.
After this I have included two videos relating to more and less, as well as subtraction. I would like the children to watch the videos and have a go at these activities. Can they come up with their own subtraction story using their toys... I am sure it will be far more creative than my droid story 😉
Please note that I am not around this morning but will be back online by lunchtime. If you have any urgent technical queries please contact Mrs Potts-Baldwin on firstname.lastname@example.org or alternatively you can wait until I return. Mrs Wyman will be unavailable to help as she is in school this week.
